Want a portrait sculpture?

The art of portrait or ‘bust’ sculpture has been in existence since ancient Egyptian times. In the centuries that followed portrait sculpture was developed by the Greeks, Romans and other ancient societies. Nowadays busts are commissioned to honour political leaders, prominent businessmen, famous sportsmen and women and simply as a memento of a loved one - a husband, wife or child. There is no finer way to memorialize an individual than to create their likeness in a portrait sculpture.

John Clapham & Company represent two renowned portrait sculptors in Vietnam - David Williams-Ellis and Tristan Macdougall. Examples of their commissioned work can be seen in the galleries below.

COMMISSIONING A PORTRAIT SCULPTURE:

For clients in Vietnam there is no need to travel overseas to visit the sculptors’ studios for sittings. We will visit your home or office, take detailed measurements of your facial features and 360 degree photographs and a video of your head. These will be passed to your sculptor of choice so that he can begin work. As the sculpture progresses we will update you with progress reports and photographs provided by the sculptor.
